Invenra is seeking an enthusiastic Scientist with a strong background in protein biochemistry assay development. This individual will focus on developing cutting-edge BLI and LSA workflows to expand and revolutionize Invenra’s current drug discovery pipeline. As part of the Innovation group, the successful applicant will work in a team to improve the efficiency or quality of immune-oncology drug discovery. Details of the job include managing and developing protocols on BLI and LSA instruments, protein binding experiments, high-throughput drug screening, and optimizing project-specific screening funnels. The position requires excellent understanding of protein biochemistry, scientific and problem-solving skills, detailed and well-organized, technological savvy, and the ability to try new things.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Experience in label-free protein binding studies, e.g. BLI, SPR, and/or LSA.

  • Experience with microfluidics, emulsions, and/or high-throughput systems and equipment a plus

  • Detail oriented and well-organized.

  • Able to design well-controlled experiments

  • Comfortable exploring new ideas and constantly looking to improve

  • Strong team player with good communication skills

  • Experience with protein expression and purification techniques is a plus

  • General knowledge of immunology and antibody structure-function relationship is a plus


The successful candidate will have at least a MS in related field: biochemistry, biophysics, molecular and cell biology, immunology, etc with 1 or more years of industrial or academic experience.
