EQUIPMENT SPECIALIST -
Invenra is seeking an enthusiastic Equipment Specialist with a strong background in cutting-edge molecular biology and protein biochemistry instrumentation. This individual will focus on incorporating new equipment and technologies that can revolutionize Invenra’s current platforms. As part of the Innovation group, the successful applicant will work as part of a team that seeks to improve the efficiency or quality of immune-oncology drug discovery. Details of the job include managing and developing protocols on cutting-edge equipment, protein binding experiments, library construction, and recombinant protein expression. The position requires excellent scientific and problem-solving skills, technological savvy, creative thinking, the ability to try new things, and an enthusiasm for science.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Experience in molecular biology and microbiology techniques is required
Experience with microfluidics, emulsions, or high-throughput systems and equipment
Able to design well-controlled experiments
Comfortable exploring new ideas and constantly looking to improve
Strong team player with good communication skills
Experience with protein expression and purification techniques is a plus
General knowledge of immunology and antibody structure-function relationship is a plus
The successful candidate will have at least a BS or MS in biological sciences: molecular and cell biology, immunology, etc with 1 or more years of industrial or academic experience. Or an Associate Degree in biological sciences with 2 years or more years of industrial or academic experience.
The position will be commensurate with the successful applicant’s experience.
