RESEARCH ASSOCIATE -
PROTEIN ENGINEERING (#127)
Invenra is seeking an enthusiastic and creative Research Associate for an entry level position in the Protein Engineering group. This individual will work with a multi-disciplinary team that supports the entire drug development pipeline at Invenra by utilizing molecular biology, protein design, protein expression, and protein purification. The group works cross-functionally to build custom target molecules to support antibody discovery, optimize and characterize lead drug molecules, and implement new practices to improve Invenra’s drug discovery platform.
Ideal candidates are recent graduates with a B.S. or higher in the biological sciences who looking for an entry level position. General experience with molecular biology, or protein biochemistry is a plus, but the main requirement is a strong desire to learn, and an aptitude for working in a lab. Candidates must bring intellectual, professional and personal values that complement the founding team: the highest standard of integrity, a tremendous work ethic and a passion to succeed.
Execute lab centric experiments as prioritized by a supervisor
Report results of experiments to the broader project teams
Molecular biology to support protein engineering projects
Working with a supervisor to coordinate vector design and ordering
Help maintain group databases/inventories of DNA/Protein stocks
Experience in molecular biology, microbiology, or protein biochemistry techniques is a plus.
A strong desire to work in a vibrant community and learn from those around you.
A desire to work towards being an independent contributor towards company project goals.
Strong communication skills in order to pass data and results to supervisors, combined with a willingness to accept constructive feedback.
An aptitude for organization, and a willingness to work with a supervisor to prioritize specific tasks
The successful candidate will have at least a BS in biological sciences.
