ASSOCIATE (#131)

Summary

The position of Shipping & Receiving Associate is responsible for keeping records of all products shipped and received at Invenra.  This involves the packing of the goods in shipping containers, develop mailing labels and shipping documents to ensure that all orders have been filled correctly.

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Assemble outgoing shipments.

  • Prepare and print shipping labels from UPS.

  • Pick up dry ice for outgoing shipments.

  • Track, trace, and update the status of outgoing UPS shipments.

  • Receive all shipments by making sure they are received in good condition and packing slips match the item and quantity received by cross-checking inventory accuracy with system entries.

  • Record and maintain an accurate log of daily packages received.

  • Promptly unload deliveries and sort and stock receivables.

  • Distribute shipments to the appropriate recipient.

  • Distribute USPS mail to staff.

  • Maintain a clean, neat, and organized area.

  • Assist with ordering for the company.

Education & Qualifications

  • High school diploma, or its equivalent.

  • 1-2 years relevant logistics experience.

  • Demonstrated ability to work with a wide range of sensitive and confidential issues.

  • Excellent ability to think proactively, anticipate business needs and draft possible solutions.

  • Self-directed and strong people skills with the ability to relate and get along with all personality styles.

  • Good written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong sense of time organization and urgency.

  • Able to work independently and within a team.

  • Basic computer skills.

  • Requires standing, walking, bending, must frequently lift and move items over 20 pounds.
