Invenra is seeking a highly motivated and experienced CRO Project Manager. This position will involve managing studies with external contract research organizations (CROs).  The CRO Project Manager is the primary point of contact with external CROs and manages the relationship with the CRO from the initial quote request through completion of the study.  Additional aspects include helping to mature a CRO management process and establishing CRO management tools and templates.

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Coordination and completion of in vivo animal studies on time and in scope.

  • Prepare in vivo study outlines with scientists, request quotes, and track expected costs and issues to aid in CRO selection. 

  • Review CRO study protocols and reports

  • Lead contract, Material Supply Agreements (MSA), and pricing negotiations.

  • Coordinate shipments to external organizations by preparing shipping documentation and labels, ensuring appropriate review of the documentation, and packaging samples for shipment.

  • Manage communications with CROs and track completion of experimental activities and deliverables.

  • Manage and communicate changes to the in vivo study timeline and scope.

  • Summarize and communicate study progress to team members and upper management.

  • Collaborate with the team members, stakeholders, and external partners in the management of project and study interdependencies.

  • Design and develop the infrastructure for CRO management in the company. This includes generation of CRO management tools and templates that can be used across the company. 


 Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Proven working experience in project and/or client management.

  • Strong client-facing and internal, written and verbal communication skills.

  • Experience in analyzing and managing experimental budgets, scope, timelines, risk, and issues.

  • Highly organized with great attention to detail.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills; must be reliable and have a positive and professional attitude.

  • Enjoy and embrace working in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities for successful study completion.

  • Team-oriented, decision-maker.

  • Experience in negotiating contracts, Material Supply Agreements, and/or pricing is preferred.

  • Experience in an ISO 9001 or ISO 13485 environment is preferred.

  • Experience in an early-stage drug discovery and development organization is preferred.



The successful candidate will have a bachelor’s or master’s degree, greater than 5 years of industry experience (preferably in biotechnology or pharma).
