SENIOR SCIENTIST -
BIOCHEMICAL ASSAY DEVELOPMENT (#107)
Invenra is a biotechnology company focused on developing novel technologies for multi-specific antibody drug discovery. Invenra’s proprietary B-BODY™, SNIPER™ and CLUSTR™ technology helped create a robust pipeline of next-generation multi-specific antibodies to address therapeutic needs in immuno-oncology and autoimmunity.
Invenra is seeking a highly motivated and experienced scientist with a background in biochemical assay development. This individual will work in conjunction with the antibody discovery and immunology teams to design and execute biochemical assays for testing lead antibody candidates. The position requires excellent scientific and problem-solving skills with a strong focus on creative solutions to technical problems.
Ideal candidates are currently employed or have been employed in similar types of positions and want to be part of a rapidly growing company doing innovative work. Candidates must bring intellectual, professional and personal values that complement the founding team: the highest standard of integrity, a tremendous work ethic, and the passion to succeed.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
Antibody characterization of candidate molecules (kinetics and affinity determination, epitope binning, competitive binding assays, etc.).
Development and execution of absorbance, fluorescence, and/or luminescence based microplate assays including ELISAs
Protein conjugation and characterization (i.e. biotinylation, fluorescent tags, etc.)
Optimization and troubleshooting of biochemical assays.
Data analysis, results interpretation, and communication of findings to cross-functional teams.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Experience in antibody analytical binding techniques including bio-layer interferometry (BLI) or surface plasmon resonance (SPR).
Experience with enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays (ELISAs).
Experience with base molecular biology and bioconjugation techniques is a plus
Effective communication and organizational skills
Proven analytical problem-solving skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities for successful project completion
Ability to work effectively as part of a cross-functional team.
The successful candidate will have a PhD or masters in biological sciences: molecular biology, cell biology, biochemistry, immunology, etc. Two to three years of post-doc or industry experience is a plus.
