We seek a scientifically and technologically savvy individual to join our growing Protein Engineering group, to provide expertise in designing, running, and interpreting protein binding assays. In addition to being the company expert in binding assays, we expect the successful candidate to be involved with other aspects of the Protein Engineering and Innovation group, commensurate with knowledge and prior experience. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in protein binding assays, with extensive experience running and interpreting SPR or other label-free binding experiments, as well as knowledge of complementary and orthogonal assays. Beyond the specifics, we are looking for a can-do attitude, rigorous scientific approach, and a good team player.

Qualifications Required:

  • Ph.D. in biophysics, structural biology, bioengineering, or other relevant field, with 0+ additional years’ experience in protein or antibody engineering. M.S. or B.A. with extensive industry experience leading discovery/engineering projects would be considered as well

  • Demonstrated project leadership experience required

  • Track record of publications / patents / presentations demonstrating creative problem-solving, independent thinking, and scientific rigor

  • Understanding of the fundamentals of protein-protein binding, and ability to apply them to experimental design and interpretation

  • Expertise in at least one label-free binding technology such as SPR (hands-on experience with Fortebio Octet a plus)

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities for successful project completion
