BISPECIFIC ANTIBODY EXPRESSION

You bring the binders. We’ll handle the engineering.

Send us your sequences. We’ll express and purify them on our clinically validated B-Body® bispecific antibody platform. Your lead is developed by the team that built the platform, so you know they know how to fully leverage the tool.

BISPECIFIC EXPRESSION Have great biology, but no antibody engineering team? We can help.

Most biotech programs are led by people who deeply understand their targets and biology but who don’t have a multispecific antibody engineer on the team, and, most don’t have the months it would take to design and assemble a bispecific from scratch. B-Body Express closes that gap.

The Invenra value

An antibody engineering department added to your team

Invenra is at its core an antibody engineering company. When you engage us for B-Body™ Express, you effectively gain an antibody engineer on your team for the duration of your project. We’ve already designed the platform, validated the formats, optimized the purification, and learned the rules. You don’t have to read a stack of patents to figure out what works.

You bring the targets and biology. We bring the engineering. Your biologists stay focused on the science, and the bispecific you receive is one we know how to make, because we designed the platform it’s built on.

A better alternative A better way to build a bispecific

Maybe you’ve been using the same platform and approach for years and wonder why your program can’t keep up. Most teams choose between figuring it out themselves or sending sequences to a generalist CRO.

There’s an alternative: you can work with the team that invented the B-Body bispecific platform. Here’s how those options compare.

Step 1

Design and quote

Collaborate with our team to select the right format, sample quantity, and scale for your program. We help you choose between 1×1, 2×1, 2×2 architectures and any Fc modifications.

Step 2

Express and purify

We prepare DNA constructs, express them in CHO cells, and run 2-step purification. High quality antibodies typically result in >95% pure antibody bispecifics.

Step 3

Analyze and deliver

You receive your quality-controlled antibodies (full yield, no retention limits)  along with the agreed-upon characterization data package and your RUO license.

WHAT You can Build Three main bispecific formats, endless biology

The B-Body platform supports a wide range of bispecific architectures. Most projects start with one of three families, but we support additional variants when the biology calls for them, including 1×1, 2X1, 2×2 as well as mAb and one-orm controls.

inv-BBody-1x1-1

1x1

One arm per target

Two different binding arms, one for each target. The classic bispecific. Best for situations where you want monovalent engagement of both targets.

inv-BBody-2x1-1

2x1

Asymmetric valency

Two arms binding one target, one arm binding the other. Useful when you need bivalency on one target and monovalency on the other.

inv-BBody-2x2-1

2x2

Bivalent both ways

Two arms for each target. Available in both Y and X geometries. Best for biology that benefits from avidity on both sides.

The data Predictably robust, featuring exceptional purity

B-Body Express typically produces hundreds of antibodies across a wide range of formats at >95% purity Since purity is a critical predictor of developability, you can confidently move B-Body Express molecules directly to manufacturing.

inv-Graph-BBodyPurity

>95%

Typical purity after 2-step purification

Anti-CH1 capture followed by cation exchange polishing brings final purity to >95% when starting with high quality mAbs. Data includes >1,000 molecules in a range of formats.

THE PLATFORM UNDERNEATH Why our expression model works

B-Body_Cartoon-Camera_5

A platform engineered to behave like a human IgG

The B-Body® platform replaces the CH1/CL domain pair in one Fab arm with proprietary CH3 mutations. This automatically forces correct heavy-light chain pairing, creates pI asymmetry for clean polishing, and leaves a sole CH1 domain in the other arm that serves as a one-step purification handle.

The result is bispecific antibodies that express, purify, and behave like monoclonals — clinically validated for CMC and ready for downstream development.

Pricing Basic designs starting at $3,750

B-Body Express development is priced per molecule. Clinical/commercial licenses are available with low friction and easy-to-understand terms, making them easy to process through your team.

We reduced the licensing barriers associated with most IP-protected platforms, making cutting-edge technology accessible to all users from academia to start-ups to large pharmaceutical companies.

What’s included with every B-Body® Express project:

Full antibody yield
You receive 100% of the material, no retention caps.

Characterization data package
Agreed-upon QC analysis for every construct.

RUO license
Research-use rights with a clear path to clinical/ commercial licensing.

Frequently Asked Questions Quick answers to initial questions

What purity should I expect?

We run 2-step purification (anti-CH1 affinity capture followed by polishing chromatography). Final purity typically exceeds 95% across formats when using high quality mAbs.

What formats can I make?

The main families are 1×1, 2×1, and 2×2. Talk to us about your biological goals, and we'll suggest a format that fits.

How long does it take?

4 to 8 weeks from DNA construction to antibody shipment. Custom requests, expanded characterization, or scale changes can extend the timeline.

What modifications are compatible with the platform?

The B-Body® platform is compatible with the same Fc modifications as standard monoclonal antibodies. Wild-type IgG1, silent Fc, afucosylated, half-life extended, and enhanced Fc options are all supported.

How do I get a clinical/commercial license?

You can choose our early decision program, featuring a nominal upfront payment followed by full payment post IND filing or pay the whole fee at IND. Clinical/commercial licensing is offered by our partner, Twist Biosciences.

Are there any milestones or royalties?

None if you secure a clinical/commercial license prior to filing IND or equivalent.
